Nachiketa Vidya Mandir, Kodgal, Jadcherla
Nachiketa Tapovan Ashram at Kodgal Village, a spiritually oriented service organization was established by Swami Nachiketananda Puri and Paramahamsa Swami Shivananda Puri with a mission of uplifting the lives of the tribal communities of Mahabubnagar district. As followers of Swami Vivekananda, foundations were laid for a gurukul style school structure fusing the values of our ancient culture with modern education and techniques.
This space is now a thriving hub of activity with a sprawling playground, multi-purpose hall, meditation and yoga hall, kitchen and dining rooms, residential rooms for volunteers/teachers, and a school for the children of neighbouring villages. Nachiketa Tapovan as of now houses 300 students, from the Nursery to 10th Class.
